QUEENSLAND POOL SAFETY CERTIFICATES: WHEN YOU NEED A CURRENT ONE
A pool safety certificate lasts:
- 2 years for a pool that is not shared (a house with its own pool),
- 1 year for a shared pool (units, body corporate).
The fence and gate rules apply all the time. A current certificate is needed at two moments:
- Leasing: a lease cannot start without one.
- Selling: give the buyer a current certificate, or a formal notice that there is none.
WHAT THE REGISTER SHOWS
The Queensland pool safety register lists certificates lodged for an address, with the date.
If yours is older than its term and you have renewed it, the newer date is what counts. Keep the copy.
CHECK YOUR HOME
Put in a Queensland address. We show what the pool register holds for it, as at the register's date, and what this home should have on paper before you sell or let.
